FSU president predicts Seminoles to beat Alabama ‘pretty bad’
We’ve reached this point in the cycle.
College football teams have been practicing about a month now. The first game is Saturday but things really get started a week from then. Everybody’s excited without much direction.
It’ll be here soon enough.
This is the point when the words of a university president speaking at a fan event gets all kinds of oxygen. All it takes is one tweet.
Here we are.
Addressing the partisan crowd at the FSU kickoff luncheon, school president John Thrasher addressed the upcoming game between the No. 3 Seminoles and No. 1 Alabama. If not for a tweet from Seminoles.com reporter Tim Linafelt, it would have drifted off into nothing.
But, here it is.
There’s no video for context of the comment. The one tweet is all that chronicled the comment that has received the full social media gas-to-flame treatment.
AL.com reached out to the University of Alabama for a response from president Stuart Bell. No answer arrived as of publishing time.
