Alabama has many celebrations throughout the entire and throughout the entire state. Many of these unique celebrations have been enjoyed for many years and are still going strong today. Some of these celebrations bring visitors from all over the United States to participate in all of the festivities, reenactments,oven cooked food, and entertainment that of course is plentiful.

Some of the most popular Alabama Celebrations include:

Alabama Frontier Days celebrated from November 7 through November10 in Wetumpka at Fort Toulouse, Fort Jackson State Historic Site. Here you can enjoy a reenactment of Alabama’s frontier days from the French Colonial times to the early American period. This celebration does include Native American reenactors, traders, entertainers, and merchants.

Battles for the Armory in Tallassee on November 9 to November 11, which is a Civil War reenactment of the battles of Chehaw and Franklin with muskets, Calvary, cannons, field hospital, food, vendors, and living history.

Tallassee Civil War Reenactment on November 9 to November 11 is located at the Gibson’s View Plantation in Tallassee.

W.C. Handy Birthday Celebration in Florence on November 16. This is a unique event for the “Father of the Blues” with live entertainment and food.
