Alabama practice report: Tight ends catch eyes
On a perfect day in Tuscaloosa, where it was 68 degrees and sunny, Alabama practiced Friday in advance of its first scrimmage of the spring this weekend. The Tide was in full pads.
Not much could be gleaned from the short media access period, in part because high school coaches attending the university’s clinic lined the periphery of the practice fields.
Here are a few observations:
— Damien Harris led the running back drills followed by Bo Scarbrough and Joshua Jacobs.
— During tight end drills, Miller Forristall was positioned next to right tackle Matt Womack. Later, Womack traded off with left tackle Jonah Williams, as Forristall stayed where he was.
— Just before the media availability period ended, freshman tight end Major Tennison, an early enrollee, was positioned next to the first-team offensive line.
