Wednesday’s offer went to Dakereon Joyner, a four-star recruit from North Charleston, S.C. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Joyner is the nation’s No. 8 dual-threat quarterback and No. 194 prospect nationally.

Joyner planned on announcing a commitment on June 18.

Joyner was the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior and led his team to a state championship as a sophomore. He threw for 3,642 yards with 44 touchdowns and ran for 1,089 yards and 12 scores.
